A considered approach to enrolment helps families make the right choice for their child.
Your journey begins with attending an online Discovery Session, the required first step in our enrolment process — followed by a Guided Observation. Together, these experiences provide an opportunity to explore our Montessori approach, understand the 0–12 learning journey and discover whether CCM feels right for your family.
Online Discovery Session
Our Discovery Session is an approximately one-hour online introduction to Montessori education and Central Coast Montessori's approach to learning.
Explore the Montessori philosophy, learn about our 0–12 learning journey and discover how our prepared environments support children through different stages of development, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions about life at CCM.
The session provides important context before you visit our learning environments in person for a Guided Observation.
Attending an online Discovery Session is the required first step in our enrolment process.
Guided Observation
Following your online Discovery Session, a Guided Observation provides an opportunity to visit CCM and experience Montessori education in action.
During your visit, you'll observe our Preschool and Primary learning environments, meet members of our team and see how the prepared environment, Montessori materials and the role of the guide support children's independence, concentration and learning.
This experience offers a valuable opportunity to deepen your understanding of Montessori education and ask questions arising from your observations.
Please note: You must attend an online Discovery Session before booking a Guided Observation.
Intentional Guide Seminar
Following your online Discovery Session and Guided Observation, the Intentional Guide Seminar offers a deep dive into Montessori philosophy and CCM's approach to education.
This experience explores the important partnership between your child, your family and our learning community, deepening your understanding of Montessori education and the shared commitment involved.
Attending the Intentional Guide Seminar is part of the enrolment journey before progressing to a formal Application for Enrolment.
Application for Enrolment
Following your online Discovery Session, Guided Observation and Intentional Guide Seminar, families who feel CCM aligns with what they are seeking may be invited to complete a formal Application for Enrolment.
Our Admissions team will provide an Application Access Code and the information needed to proceed. The application allows us to gather important information about your child and family as part of our considered enrolment process.
A non-refundable application fee of $250 applies, except for entry into our 0–3 program, for which no application fee is charged.
Consideration, Offer and Supported Transition
Each application is carefully considered, taking into account your child's individual needs, your family's alignment with our Montessori approach, the balance of our community and place availability.
Depending on your child's age and stage of development, the next steps may include a meeting or an experience within one of our Montessori learning environments.
Where a place can be offered, our Admissions team will guide you through the Enrolment Agreement, the applicable placement fee or bond, and the proposed start date.
We work closely with families to support a thoughtful, personalised transition, helping each child feel welcomed, secure and confident as they begin their Montessori journey at CCM.
